This academic year we have decided to suspend the Jamaica field study due to a decrease in available resources to support the field study. This year, UJ will still be holding its winter field study to Nicaragua and its spring field study to the Dominican Republic. Kali Peterson will be leading the Nicaragua trip, and David Levy and Joanna Zdanys will be leading the Dominican Republic trip. This year, we received more applications than ever, all of whom were extremely qualified. Unfortunately, this year we were only able to take seven participants on each trip.

Last Friday night, UJ members put on the third annual PIRC Ball. This year’s theme was Prohibition. It was an incredibly successful, enjoyable event and had a great turn-out from the student body.

UJ’s next event will be a post-1L Long Memo party on Monday November 21st at Bar Nine on Ninth Ave. between 53rd and 54th.
