Speed Dating
On Thursday, February 9th, UJ will host it’s annual speed dating event at Gin Mill (442 Amsterdam Avenue, between 81st and 82nd) – now with beer pong after speed dating.
- Party room opens at 9:00pm
- 10:00pm speed dating start time
- TEN 6 minute dates
- $15 to participate in the Speed Dating plus drink specials
- $10 for drink specials alone
The event always fills up and sells out quickly, so reserve your spot soon.

Microfinance Fund
UJ is working with Northeastern University in Boston, MA to raise $25,000 to create a microfinance bank in the Dominican Republic and support the Cruz Verde and Mata Los Indios communities we’ve worked in. The $25,000 will provide microloans for the community and help its members start small businesses with the hopes of exiting poverty. See Northeastern Microfinance Fund for more information.
Moving Forward with Microfinance Fundraising
Next Wednesday, September 29 at 4pm UJ will hold an information session in room 303 on our microfinance fundraising project with the Fordham Law community.
We aim to raise $5,000 to create a microfinance bank in the Dominican Republic to provide small loans for up to 25 borrowers to operate small businesses and improve their quality of life.
With the larger Fordham Law community involved, we have no doubt we can make this project a reality.
