Jamaica
Universal Justice has traveled to Jamaica during spring break in the last three years. The eight to ten students who attend the trip also organize it.
In 2011, UJ students worked with Amnesty International and Jamaica Environmental Trust on a variety of human rights issues.
In the past, the trip has been geared towards prisoners’ rights in Jamaica. Universal Justice has partnered with the Independent Jamaican Council for Human Rights (IJCHR) to both aid them in their caseload and learn about Jamaican law.
